In the Tips section of the tutorial under "Drag Text to and from Binder" it says that if a document is dragged from the binder into the text in the editor the "text of the document will be copied into the editor".
When I try this, it adds a link to the document in question. The text is not copied into the editor. Sorry!

Thanks, I've fixed the instructions in the tutorial for the next beta (you need to hold down the Option key as you drop the document into the text).

    All the best,
    Keith

Thanks. But related to this I have another query, which might not be a bug, but still seems strange to me.

I have research material both as PDF:s and as text documents. Something I find a bit confusing is that if I drag a PDF from the research folder into a text in the editor, it will appear in the editor as a picture. To link to it, I have to option-drag. When I want to insert or link to a text document, the process is the opposite. To insert the text into the editor document I have to opt-drag it. To link to it I just have to drag it into the text. Doesn’t seem intuitive to me. Curious as to why it is this way.

It works based on what is deemed to be the most natural behaviour for most users. For most users, I think that if they drag an image into the editor, they are going to want the image to appear there. So, the "alternative" behaviour is to create a link. Dragging a text document into the editor, though, you're more likely to want to create a link.

(Actually, I don't exactly do things based on "most users", but on how *I* want it to behave. :) )

    All the best,
    Keith
