Compile to Flat XML (.fodt) does compile headings only up to level 2

When you compile a test document to .fodt only the level 1 and 2 headings (# and ##) get properly compiled to level 1 and 2 OpenDocument headings. Onwards the headings are just text body enclosed by ### ### and so forth.

As this doesn't happen with other output formats I guess it is not the fault of my compile format.

    I'd like to add:

    • Footnotes do not get compiled to .fodt. There is a footnote marker in the body text—[^cf1]—but the footnote text is missing.
    • While normally the text body has the paragraph name "Pre-formatted Text" (re-translated from LibreOffice with a German user interface) the one paragraph after an image switches to "Standard". I don't know if the Markdown Compile can at all transport the paragraph names to .fodt but at least the paragraphs should be namend consistently.

Hm, can't confirm. I tried with my attached (zip compressed) test project, and I get Heading 3 with mmd>fodt.

Same here, with a simple 5-level test I get Heading 1 -- 5 styles assigned correctly in the .fodt file. If you're getting bare hashmarks, I'd take a look at a compiled MMD file itself and see if there is anything in settings that might be creating a confused result.

With the footnote that lacks data, if you could provide a sample that produces that result that would be great. That sounds like a potential Scrivener bug, but I don't know how to reproduce it.

All things relating to how stylesheets are assigned are matters of how MMD works. If there is a problem there, assuming it isn't an issue with how MMD is being generated from the compiler, then it's probably an MMD issue itself. That could be confirmed by processing the file directly on the command-line. I got "Default Style" assigned to all regular paragraphs.

    Hi Ian,

Do you have anything further on this, or a reproduction for the footnotes issue?

I'll close this for now, so that I can easily see which threads I have outstanding work for, but please reopen this thread if you have further details.

    Thanks and all the best,
    Keith
